Run!

Highly Recommend 💥💥💥💥💥

Flashpoint follows the scarlet speedster as he lives in in a paradox of his own making. After running back in time, Barry Allen lives in a timeline knows as "Flashpoint" when he decides to save his mom. In the alternate reality his mother is alive, but the lives of everyone around him are different. Batman is Bruce Wayne's father, the joker is his mother, and Superman never lives with the Kents so there is no superman.  Barry also never has the accident in the lab and never receives his powers so there is no Flash.

The Flash Family

In this story the world is ravaged by war due to Aquaman and Wonder Woman. To end the war Cyborg tries to gather the remaining heroes along including Batman. The villains in our timeline are also joining sides to stop war. As the story continues Barry tries to get his powers back and help end the ware by going back in time to stop himself from saving his mother

After stopping himself he was able to come to terms with his mother's death and live his life in the fast lane.

The Man of Tomorrow

1. What is your reaction to the text you just read?

Bizarro's death was surprising. Usually Bizarro focuses on mindless task or find ways to be evil that are comical. Reading how he was becoming the "perfect imperfect superman" was shocking as well as his suicide and destruction of his own planet. The ending was somewhat surprising for me because Brainiac was able to control Luthor even after he died.

2.What connections did you make with the story? Discuss the elements of the story which you were able to connect.

Some elements of the story I was able to connect were the connections Superman had with Lois and Lana, the purpose of the award Superman receives, and Superman's disappearance.

3. What changes would you make to adapt this story into another medium? What medium would you use? What changes would you make?

There aren't many changes I would make except for choices of villains. One medium I would use would be a video game that people could play to get an interactive experience of the boy scout in blue.

Dawn of of the Dark Age

30 Days of Night is a very interesting story. In a civil war that ensues between vampires, one FBI agent tries to uncover the truth of the vampire's existence. In the process she uncovers more than she bargained for.

There aren't that many comics and graphic novels about vampires but, this story had me at the edge of the my seat. The first story of 30 Days of Night followed an Alaskan police officer, Eben, who turned himself into a vampire to save the people of an Alaskan town and his wife, Stella. The continuation of the story follows FBI agent, Alice, who was trying to learn about the whereabouts of vampires. Eventually she learns of their existence and fights for her life against a newly turned vampire. As the story continues she makes the mistake of killing Eben's wife who was also a vampire. Learning of the news caused Even to start a war with the Elder vampires and take over the humans.

The overall artwork of the comic is low quality. The drawings look as if someone was trying to finish each page within a short time frame. As I continued to read the quality began to improve with each issue.

DANNA NANNA NANNA NANNA BATMAN

Batman was originally introduced in the Detective comics issue #27. The first issue of Batman was released in 1940 which deterred Batman and Robin, and Batman's nemesis; Joker.

While reading Batman I noticed differences between the comics back in the 40's and the comics we have nowadays. When the Detective comics and other fan favorites were released the story was straight to the point to get the reader going. In the first issue of Batman the reader is given a backstory into who the Batman is and how he came to be. The writers decided to use the plot of the death of a loved one to push a person to become a hero. In this comic Batman, or Bruce Wayne, loses his parents to a mugger. The dialog used in the comic reflects what time period the comic was made in.
If you read the dialog you'll notice that the mugger seems to have a Chicago or Brooklyn feel to it. And the way the dialog is read the time frame would be placed in the 1940's or 50's

One major thing I noticed was the use of violence in the comic. During the 40's everyone was focused on family friendly viewings and non violence. For example, when Batman the tv show released they were not allowed to show people being punched or beaten so they used action words to show the actors being hit. However, in this comic you see the Joker making death threats on a public radio station. And low and behold the guy is dead. What's really disturbing is way the character dies. They die of poison then their face forms a smile because the poison forces the face muscles to pull back.
